During the past year VCC offered Groups Spiritual Direction for the first time. The experience was so positive that we are offering it once again, beginning this fall. Group Spiritual Direction (GSD) uses a structured process that nurtures a type of spiritual community in which group members companion one another in seeking God and God's guidance. It provides a time set aside to: --listen and pay attention to longings hidden under the surface routines of daily life --making sacred space to share presence, prayfulness, and discernment on behalf of one another --experience a distinctive form of spiritual community.

The groups will begin in late September and meet once a month through May of next year. You'll have the option of choosing a group that meets in person or by Zoom only. The groups are small enough that meeting in a backyard is an option. An informational and training ZOOM session will be held on September 20 at 6:30 pm. This meeting will provide a detailed explanation of the group process prior to the groups being formed.
