On Tuesday, November 5, we invite you to join us for a Day of Prayer as we lift our nation in prayer on Election Day. The Sanctuary will be open from 6AM to 6PM with two options to join us online at 6AM and 12PM. Whether you join us in person or online, let’s come together to seek God’s face. As 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
Men, join us for our first Fall Retreat! We'll be spending a weekend up at Mount Hermon, eating together and celebrating what God is doing in our lives. Treat the weekend as an actual retreat... a time to get away and feel genuinely renewed and encouraged. We would love to have you there!
At VCC, we love to partner with parents and families as their kids grow to know and love Jesus. One way to begin this journey is through Baby Dedications, as our congregation and parents commit to one another to create a place for God's love to be shared and taught to children. If you would like to dedicate your child or children, please register for the Nov 13th class on Zoom and plan to participate in the service on Sunday, Nov 17th.

Parents, Family, and Friends will enjoy a Christmas Party with dinner, music, and other festive elements. Meanwhile, downstairs, the party continues with guests with Disabilities/Neurodivergence and Neurotypical Siblings at a fun Respite event with lots of Christmas activities that will spread the joy of Jesus! August 11th is "Move On Up" Sunday at VCC! As a new school year begins we are excited to celebrate our children as they move up to their next grade! Move on up Sunday is when each child will transition to their new age-appropriate Sunday School class. Kinder-5th Grades will check-in to the Blue Room first at the VCC Kids Welcome Center and will be picked up in the Sanctuary as all the kids will participate in the installation of Ms. Kaelee as our new VCC Kids Director!

Join us on Sunday for baptisms after our One Service Sunday, 7.7 at 11AM.
Baptism involves washing with water, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It serves as a potent symbol and seal of the promise of salvation we find in Jesus, signifying our cleansing from sin and our commitment to belong to the Lord and His church. Hence, we often regard sacraments as "visible declarations of good news." Through baptism, we respond to the transformative work already accomplished in our hearts by Christ, fulfilling the call of the Great Commission to be baptized (Matt. 28:19) in obedience to His command.
We will be doing baptisms on Sunday, July 7th This will be a combined service at 11AM only. If you would like to be baptized or are interested in learning more, please click below to sign up for the Baptism Class which will be held on 6.23.24 during the 11AM service.
Registration for Xtreme Camp opens February 1! Open to current 6th-8th graders, Xtreme Camp is a week we hope every Middle Schooler will remember for years to come! We see this camp as an opportunity for retreat from our normal fast-paced schedules where we emphasize building community and creating a space where students can experience the presence of God. We will be heading over to Felton, CA (Santa Cruz County) for a fun week of everything that makes our summer camps so great: tons of time to be with your friends, memorable activities, and huge opportunities to grow in your faith.
Note: Departure and arrival times for camp will be confirmed to registered campers.
After a remarkable 26 years of faithful service as our VCC Kids Director, Cheryl Blea is retiring, and we couldn't be more grateful for her commitment and love for our children.
To honor Cheryl's incredible journey, we invite you to a special event dubbed "Cheryl-bration" on June 2nd, following both Sunday services. This celebration will be a joyful occasion filled with popsicles, ice cream, and bounce houses for the kids to enjoy.
Additionally, there will be special recognitions during each service to highlight Cheryl's invaluable contributions to our church community and the lives she has touched throughout her tenure.

Ladies you are invited to join us for Out of the Psalms: Prayer and journaling workshops starting 5.14 at VCC. Come and explore how understanding and using the poetic devices found in the Psalms can add depth and meaning to your own prayers. The Psalms not only provide God’s people with prayers to pray, but also with beautiful models for how to compose our own petitions and praises. The Psalms teach us how to pray to God through the darkness and how to thank Him for the light.

May is Foster Care Awareness Month.
It's a sobering reality that more children enter foster care than there are families available to care for them. Statistics paint a grim picture, showing that over half of domestically recovered child sex trafficking victims come from foster care backgrounds, and youth in foster care are twice as likely to develop Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
We've united with churches across California and Foster the City not just to raise awareness but also to invite you to join us in prayer. Together, seeking our Heavenly Father to raise up foster families within VCC and raise up Support Friends.
Will you join us in prayer throughout May, asking God to raise up at least one foster family within VCC? You can also utilize our daily prayer guide to lead you through your time of intercession. Check out the missions table in the lobby ALL MONTH IN MAY for more information.
Student Ministry Baptisms are happening on April 30 from 6-8:30 pm and we'd love for you to be there! Every year we look forward to Student Ministry Baptisms as a way to support our students in their faith journey. If you know a middle or high school student, or simply want to be part of an impactful and beautiful night, we invite you to join us! Dinner will be provided, no registration required.

In light of increasing awareness regarding the detrimental effects of toxic masculinity and patriarchal systems, these issues have become prominent topics in our conversations.As societal attitudes evolve, some individuals cling to outdated stereotypes, further exacerbating tensions and confusion, while others find themselves unsure of how to navigate this cultural shift effectively.
Consequently, many men may feel overwhelmed, grappling with the fear of inadvertently offending others, uncertain about how to channel their ambitions and strengths constructively, and contending with the conflicting messages of a highly sexualized culture
However, amidst these challenges, there is hope for men seeking clarity and resilience in today's complex landscape.
