BAPTISM
WHAT IS BAPTISM?
Jesus said, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19)
Baptism is a way of showing that we belong to Jesus. It’s a symbol of being washed clean from sin and stepping into a new life with Him. The Bible teaches that when we put our faith in Jesus, we are forgiven and receive the Holy Spirit. Baptism is an outward sign of that inward change. (Acts 2:38)
WHAT DOES BAPTISM MEAN?
"And now why do you wait? Get up, be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on His name." (Acts 22:16)
Baptism doesn’t make someone right with God—it’s a response to faith in Jesus. The water represents being washed clean, but it’s our trust in Jesus that truly brings forgiveness. (1 Peter 3:21)
Baptism is an act of obedience to Jesus and a way to publicly declare that we are following Him.
