Creeds? Who needs them? The very word "creed" sounds rather dusty and joyless. And in a world that holds deep distrust in organizations and positions of authority, the word "creed" has a bitter taste to many people. But this doesn't have to be the case. More so, it should not be the case for followers of Jesus. See, a creed is essentially an identity document, a summarization of what it is that we believe about reality, what/who we have entrusted ourselves to, and who we are as a people. The Apostles' Creed is one of the oldest and widely acknowledged creeds of the historic Christian faith. Simply put, it is a summary of the basic beliefs of the Christian faith put forward in twelve statements of affirmation. The Apostle's Creed is a gift given to us, that we may say in one voice, with the historic and global church, that we are followers of Jesus Christ. Join us for this important twelve-part series as we learn from the Scriptures about the basics of the biblical faith and the ever-deepening joy of knowing God!
